Instructor - David Barak

David Barak is a Principal Architect for AT&T Consulting, and is responsible for design, implementation, and remediation of large and complex secure unicast and multicast networks of AT&T commercial and government customers.  He routinely provides NOC-level training in routing, ipsec, and multicast,  Before coming to AT&T, he worked at UUNet in both the support and training departments.  Outside of the networking world, his band has released three albums.

  • The OSI Model
    • IGPs for fun and profit
    • Algorithms, scalability, usability
  • Lab 1: build the basic OSPF network (45 minutes)
  • Principles of routing
    • Lab 2: build basic iBGP with route-reflection (45 minutes)
  • BGP in detail - algorithm, communities
    • Lab 3: build eBGP peering with basic policy (45 minutes)
  • Routing policy in detail
  • Peering Negotiations (1 hour)
  • Lab 4: Build the negotiated network (1 hour)

Price also includes access to the first day of NANOG 61 which takes place on June 2-4, 2014 and will offer a great opportunity to network with colleagues, freshen-up skills, learn advanced networking techniques, and discover new network applications.
