Board of Directors

The property, affairs and business of NANOG shall be managed and controlled by the its Board of Directors.  The Board facilitates communications between the NANOG community and other organization with similar goals.  The Board is also responsible for appointing all members of the NANOG committees and the Executive Director. Tina Morris is a Technical Business Developer at Amazon Web Services focused primarily on IPv4 and IPv6 address resource strategy. Prior to this Tina was a Principal Network Engineer at Time Warner Cable/Bright House Networks for 10 years. In addition, Tina is currently serving as Vice-chair in her 4th year on the ARIN Advisory Council and participates actively with the Global RIR community.

Will was the CEO of PacketFabric. Prior to this he was the Vice President of Network Architecture and Engineering at Limelight Networks, where he was responsible for the architecture and interconnections strategy of Limelight's global CDN network. Prior to that he spent 11 years at SoftLayer as the Vice President of Network Engineering and Operations where he oversaw all network functions for SoftLayer's global network as they grew from a small regional hosting provider to one of the largest cloud computing providers in the world, with datacenters in North America, Europe, and Asia. Will has spent the better part of the last 20 years working in Internet infrastructure businesses and is an active member of the Internet community.

Patrick W. Gilmore

Patrick Gilmore COO of Deep Edge Technologies. Previously, Patrick was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Markley Group, responsible for Markley’s Cloud Computing and Infrastructure as a Service offerings. Before that, Patrick was Chief Network Architect of Akamai Technologies, where he worked for over 13 years. At Akamai, Patrick’s group was responsible for managing peering and capacity for the world’s largest CDN, one that served approximately 25% of all traffic on the internet. In addition to NANOG, Patrick is currently on the Board of Directors for the American Registry for Internet Numbers, the Seattle Internet Exchange, and the PeeringDB, as well as a previous board member of the London Internet Exchange.

Edward McNair

Edward McNair was appointed Executive Director of the North American Network Operators’ Group (NANOG) in April, 2018. He is also the co-founder of Kaskadian, a branding, marketing and sales consultancy agency for startup and new business clients. Prior to Kaskadian, Edward served as Chief Executive Officer for Verilan, an IT company that delivered just-in-time, enterprise quality networks. Previously, he was Vice President of Internet Marketing for Respond2, a leading direct marketing agency, and was Creative Director for the WiMAX Forum, a global Internet and telecom consortium. In addition, Edward has previously provided professional services to NANOG and other industry associations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Facebook, Intel® and Mentor Graphics. Edward also developed the first web design program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art where he taught web and graphic design and interactive media courses for more than a dozen years.
