Abstract: | Since the controversy over \"stateless anycast\" refuses to go away--even if it\'s kept alive mostly by one person--we thought it would be interesting to reexamine some of the data we presented two years at NANOG in our \"Life and Times of J Root\" paper. In particular, we will again look at all anycast instances of J root to see which source IP addresses show up at multiple locations and how often. We will perform additional analysis to attempt to explain the results, whatever they may be. We will also reexamine the question we considered two years ago, \"Who is querying j.root-servers.net\'s old IP address and why?\", to see if the nature of the queriers has changed. | |
