Michael Sinatra, ESnet

Michael Sinatra is a network engineer with the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) in Berkeley, CA, where he specializes in DNS, DNSSEC, IPv6 adoption, and scientific and high-performance networking. Prior to ESnet, Michael worked for the central networking group at UC Berkeley for over a decade. He has been interested in DNS for a long time and attempts to make coherent contributions to various BIND and DNS mailing lists and forums
Abstract: This track is a continuation of the R&E network operators forums that have been at the past few NANOGs. We will continue to solicit R&E network "personals" and updates, discuss security topics, examine big-data requirements and our efforts to deal with them, and we will also entertain some actual network research, if we have submitted content.

Current agenda is:

o R&E Network updates and personals
o mDNS standards updates and ways of dealing with ad-hoc protocols on campus networks
o "What's wrong with computer security in the R&E community?"
