Geoff Huston, APNIC

Geoff Huston is the Chief Scientist at APNIC, the Regional Internet Registry for the Asia Pacific. He currently works in a number of measurement areas, and is currently looking at aspects of uptake of IPv6, DNSSEC and the characteristics of Inter-Domain Routing. He writes a bit, talks a bit, and often has an opinion or two.
Abstract: The talk looks at an unexpected side effect of ad-based measurement systems where we've found that supposedly unique URLs are not unique all the time, and sometimes these URLs are queried a second time by someone else. The talk describes our efforts to isolate the identity of these digital stalkers and tries to find if there is systematic evidence of digital stalking on today's Internet. There is.
