Abstract:	This general session talk will provide an introduction to the Best Current Operational Practices (BCOP) effort. This will include the origins, the goals (providing documented best practices for engineers by engineers), the current status, and the next steps for BCOP now that ISOC and NANOG are getting more involved. I will then present an example BCOP on IPv6 Peering to illustrate the goals of the effort.
