Abstract:	A military research organization presents real world experiences in defending against network intrustions. Statistics illustrating the increasing vulnerabilities and threats will be presented. Considerations for hardening of the infrastructure will be outlined along with discussion of the interactions between ISPs and CERT teams in response to an attack.
