Greetings - The use of aliases or partial names is prohibited on the NANOG
mailing list.  Please see our AUP:

We suggest that you either:

  1. Configure your email agent to also insert the
     real name field (i.e., my.pseudonyn --> John Smith)

  2. Include your .sig in each message.
