A6 is dead.  If you renumber, all your AAAA's will have to be changed,
and you will have to establish new PTR zones.  It's now just like IPv4
with regard to DNS, except for the RRtype (AAAA vs A).  There is no
IPv6 renumbering support in DNS.  Dead, dead, dead.  For years now.

Several of those responsible for the killing are present on this mailing
list, so perhaps they will explain just why A6 apparently needed killing.
