Pete, If you are in the business of fighting DDoS at the ISP level, I would recommend checking out the NSP-SEC community. Among other things, I think you will find some info regarding DDoS route servers. There are several NANOG presentations and archived emails on this community. If you can't find what you are looking for, drop me a line offlist and I'll see if I can provide more assistance.
