port usage statistics

Hello,
My name is Douglas Calvert, I am a graduate student at Syracuse
university, and a research assitant for the Center for Systems Assurance
(www.csa.syr.edu). I have been a lurker on this list for quite some time
and I would like to apologize for this non-operational content. i
recognize that it is not very welcomed;)
My research group is investigating various aspects of internet protocol
usage and implementation. Would anyone be able to give me port
statistics for the networks that they administer? And or point me in the
direction of statistics like this. Obviously I do not need any IP
addresses and or dates, we are only looking for aggregate numbers. We
are having trouble finding these sorts of statistics for broad regions
of the internet. Thank you very much for your help...
