DSL Lite

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask the question or not, but I
was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to
information regarding G.Lite DSL, aka DSL Lite. Apprently it's a form of
DSL similiar to ADSL and doesn't require splitting of the line at the
user end but manages to split it for the user remotely at the telephone
company. I'm curious if anyone is using this form of DSL to deliver to
customers.
