Below is a pair of gross and ugly maps that Vadim Antonov
and I have just drawn with xfig (apologies for the delay).

The first slide is roughly what I drew freehand at the IETF
meeting in San Jose, the second is the current working model
we are tossing around in Engineering.

Hopefully I'll have the pop-design, ICMnet and design
rationale slides shortly, if not, I'll have them (and others)
at NANOG.
