In addition, PSI installed an SMDS switch in SantaClara several weeks ago which has a gigabit backplane. So, if there is a problem with CIX SMDS throughput there is a "net", using PtP T3's and mutliple SNI's on the CIX (PacBell) SMDS connection, remapped into another (PSI's) switch.
